Join First Nation leaders, Development Corporations, forestry operators, federal funders, and innovators for a territory-wide conference focused on collaboration, reconciliation through economic development, and building a stronger, more resilient Yukon together.
This event is about more than forestry or energy. It's about collaboration, reconciliation through economic development, and seizing this moment to shape a stronger, more resilient Yukon together.
Highlight practical, scalable biomass and forestry projects creating jobs and local revenue in small and remote communities. Learn from successful case studies and discover pathways to launch new initiatives in Yukon.
Meet senior representatives from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and other agencies. Access funding streams, build relationships with program leaders, and understand available opportunities for your projects.
Bridge the gap between traditional forestry and emerging bioenergy innovation. Unite long-time woodcutters with First Nation businesses to support a unified, locally driven approach to economic development and energy independence.
Each year, Yukon spends millions importing diesel, propane, and heating oil - even as forest resources are underused or burned in slash piles. By acting now, we can transform this challenge into unprecedented opportunity.
This is a moment of unprecedented opportunity - but only if we rise to meet it together.

Yukon Wood Products Association (YWPA)
With support from partners across the territory, bringing together communities to shape the future of Yukon forestry and biomass.
With the warmer temperatures and the (potential) feeling of spring on the horizon, quite often next year's firewood supply is the last thing on your mind. But put some consideration into your needs for next year and get your orders in now. Doing so helps to maintain the supply chain during the spring and summer months, and takes the burden off the overloading the system in the fall. Some new additions have been made to the "Firewood Suppliers" section of our website. Get your firewood order in early and don't wait until the last minute!
"Melina Laboucan-Massimo, one of Canada's leading climate change advocates and the host of Power to the People, visited the [Teslin Tlingit First] nation to learn more about how biomass energy projects are generating power across Western and Northern Canada."
